Knock Knock. Who’s there?

The KW Smart Team works with a lot of home buyers.  Most of our buyers happen to be from ‘up north’.  Whether we’re showing a lakefront home or a pool house on the golf course, we always get this question:  Are there alligators?   Ahhh, we ARE in Florida.  The good news is, mostly they keep to themselves.  One of our agents said it best (or so we thought) “it isn’t like they are going to come knocking on your door”.  I borrowed her line and started using it.  Then we heard about this feisty gator who didn’t knock, but did just show himself into right into someone’s home unannounced.

What is the lesson here?  Don’t buy a house with a doggy door?  There are gators everywhere?  Homeowner beware?  I have no idea, but I won’t be installing a doggy door any time soon.
